CrossFit Workouts are constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. Caters for all fitness levels – beginner to intermediate to advance.
When it comes to strength training, a barbell is one heck of an effective tool. Sure, you could do bodyweight exercises from now until forever, but if you want to truly reach your strength potential – that is, your ability to move heavy loads – you’ll want to use free weights. We’re talking nothing but a steal bar and some plates. The barbell functionally challenges your muscles, joints, and balance all at once, which research has proven can lead to significant strength gains compared to traditional exercises.
Functional Fitness Workouts train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasise core stability.
MetCon Workouts, or Metabolic Conditioning, are fast paced, high intensity workouts completed in a short period of time that will challenge your cardiovascular capacity, put your metabolism into overdrive and rapidly burn fat.
Boxing focus on sound boxing fundamentals, solid cardio-conditioning, and stretching. Members will sweat it out with jump rope, shadow box, circuit training, various bag work and do one-on-one pad work.
